I am a proven marketing leader that has had the opportunity to grow with the industry. My work with traditional newspaper publishing in 1992 evolved to online newspapers in 1997 and winning a Pulitzer Prize along the way.

My email marketing work for the largest database company in the world grew to managing seven-figure budgets for online advertising, search optimization and management of social media accounts in early 2007, when “to tweet” for most people was the chirp of a young bird.

Working for Ogilvy and Mather — one of the top advertising and public relations agencies in the country — I was able to use my SEO, SEM, content marketing and social media experience to help many global companies including a client involved with the largest environmental disaster in history by advising them on content creation and reputation management.

I’ve seen firsthand the evolution of search engines and the opportunities of location based services and mobile marketing. I cover these topics as well as online privacy issues for The Huffington Post. I’m an early adopter of technology and very active in different social media channels. In early 2012, I wanted to integrate social business into client’s strategies and marketing campaigns and decided to set up my own agency SocialShelfspace.com.

Mr. Fernandez is a founding partner and vice president of content marketing and analytics for SocialShelfspace.com, a marketing agency that combines search engine optimization with influencer outreach and social technologies to deliver measurable effects.
